Terms of Service

1. The service

CrowdCollectable hosts private vaults and public museums for real collections. The core product is free. We do not sell paid vaults. We are not an auction house, we do not take bids, and we do not hold escrow. Bounties are in development — we are not taking offers yet.

By creating an account or using a public museum page, you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You must give a real email you control. You are responsible for activity on your account. Do not impersonate another collector or claim a museum you were not invited to take over.

3. Photo and content ownership

You keep copyright and other rights in photos and text you upload, if you had those rights to begin with. You must not upload images you do not have permission to use (including photos lifted from a club, a player, or another collector without consent).

You grant CrowdCollectable a non-exclusive licence to host, cache, resize, and display that content so the vault and museum can function, and to use public-item photos as the share image for that page. We do not claim ownership of your collection or your photographs. If you delete an item or close the account, we will stop displaying it on the live site.

4. Claim and takeover of hosted museums

Some museums are hosted by us first (for example, a collection we photographed or imported with the collector) and later attached to the collector’s own account via a claim link we issue. A valid claim token lets the signed-in user take over that hosted inventory. Claim links expire or can be used once. Protected accounts (including the operator’s own museum) are not open to public claim.

If you believe a museum was claimed in error, or that hosted items are yours and were published without you, email support@mail.crowdcollectable.com or use the contact form with the vault URL.

5. Takedown

We will review requests to remove or restrict content that infringes copyright, misuses a trade mark or club mark, or publishes someone else’s collection without authority. Write to support@mail.crowdcollectable.com (or use the contact form and choose Take-down) with:

• the exact URL
• what should come down, and why
• your name and a working email
• a statement that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act

We may remove or hide the item, photo, or museum while we look. We may also remove content that is unlawful, deceptive, or unsafe without waiting for a formal notice.

6. Sports memorabilia, club marks, and Indigenous designs

Public items can include match jerseys and other sports memorabilia. Those objects often carry club marks, league marks, player names, and — on some Australian jerseys — Indigenous artwork created for a club or a commemorative strip (including NRL Indigenous and Anzac designs).

Hosting a collector’s photograph of an object they own is not a licence to those marks or designs. Do not scrape, reproduce, or commercially reuse museum photos as clip art, merch, or training data. Community representatives, artists, clubs, and leagues can use the takedown path above. We treat Indigenous cultural material with extra care and will take down or restrict images on a reasonable request from the relevant people.

7. Scrape and automated-access limits

You may view public pages in a normal browser. You may not harvest the museum, vault photos, usernames, or claim tokens with bots, scrapers, or bulk download tools. Search indexing of public pages is allowed; copying the photo archive is not. We may rate-limit or block automated traffic.

8. Honest use

Do not invent provenance, grades, or ownership. Do not publish another person’s private serial numbers or home address. Do not use the site to run an unauthorised shop-front for goods you do not have.

9. Hosting is free. Sales are not live.

Binding offers, bounties, and escrow are not live. We are not taking money for sales. When that rail exists, we will say so on the product and update these terms. Until then, treat every “bounty” control as in-development, not a contract to buy or sell.

10. Disclaimer

The museum shows what collectors chose to publish. We do not authenticate items, guarantee title, or value collections. The service is provided as-is during open beta. Australian consumer guarantees still apply where they cannot be excluded.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If a dispute cannot be resolved by email, the courts of NSW have jurisdiction.
